Bella e confortevole casa situata in un caratteristico vicolo nel centro storico di Cefalù, rinomata località sulla costa settentrionale della Sicilia, 60 Km a est di Palermo. La posizione è incantevole… dalla terrazza si gode una splendida e rilassante vista sui tetti del borgo medievale, sul Duomo Normanno e sul mar Tirreno. L’alloggio si sviluppa su 4 piani ed è dotato di due ingressi (l’ingresso al piano terra si affaccia sul vicolo a pochi passi dal Duomo; l’altro, sul retro al livello del secondo piano, dà accesso al soggiorno-pranzo e si affaccia sull’imponente Rocca) e di due terrazze, una delle quali attrezzata per pranzi all’aperto (mobili, cucina esterna, barbecue). L’arredamento e i colori caldi degli interni fanno respirare un’atmosfera piacevole ed accogliente: le camere si distinguono per stile e originalità e rivelano il gusto e il carattere della proprietaria che ne ha curato personalmente la ristrutturazione. Accesso alla casa tramite un vialetto pedonale e una breve scalinata. Parcheggio pubblico nelle vicinanze (circa 300 metri). Parcheggio privato a pagamento (circa 700 metri). Centro di Cefalù (negozi, ristoranti, banche) a 200 metri. Mare con spiaggia di sabbia a 300 metri.

(Description of the locality) CEFALU’ is a world wide known tourist resort placed on the Tyrrhenian coast, 60 km away on the eastern side of Palermo. The ancient Sicilian village was founded in the IVth century B.C. and in the running of the centuries became, respectively, a Roman, Byzantine and Moslem town knowing its highest splendour under the Norman rule. Cefalù is set in an extraordinary charming panorama among the huge sea horizon and the overhanging Fortress and the Norman Cathedral soaring above the town. Around the Duomo, real fulcrum of the medieval town planning, meander several narrow streets and you get the chance to admire a lot of churches and small Baroque and Renaissance mansions. Particularly worth visiting are: “l'Osterio Magno”, “il lavatoio Medievale” (the medieval washhouse), “il borgo Marinaro” (the fishermen’s hamlet), “il Tempio di Diana” (the temple of Diana) and the Mandralisca museum keeping rare archaeological remains and different ages' works of art such as the extraordinary "Ritratto d'Ignoto" (Portrait of Unknown) of Antonello da Messina. Lovely and comfortable house set in a typical alley in the historical centre of Cefalù, renowned locality situated on the northern coast of Sicily, 60 km away on the eastern side of Palermo. The house is placed in an enchanting position…the terrace enjoys a splendid and relaxing view to the roofs of the medieval hamlet, the Norman Duomo and the Tyrrhenian Sea. The whole lodging is articulated into 4 floors and it has 2 entrances (the entrance at the ground floor directly faces the alley a few steps away from the Duomo; the other one - at the back – is set at the level of the second floor and gives direct access to the living-dining room facing the dominating Rock) and 2 terraces as well, one of which is equipped for open-air dinners (furniture, outside kitchenette, barbecue).The furnishings and the warm colours of the insides pervade the atmosphere with agreeability and cosiness: the rooms stands out because of the style and originality revealing the taste and character of the owner who has been personally engaged in the restoration of the house. A pedestrian alleyway and a short flight of steps give access to the house. Public parking in the vicinity (nearly 300 m). Private parking for payment (nearly 700 m). The town-centre of Cefalù (shops, restaurants, banks) is 200 m away. Sea with sandy beach is 200 m away .

DIRECTIONS TO FOLLOW: From PALERMO km 60; Highway A20 Palermo-Messina. Exit Cefalù. At the crossroads, 100 metres after the exit, turn Right in the direction of Cefalù, then drive straight and after 4,5 km (at the crossroads – in correspondence to the AGIP clearance space) keep on straight entering a limited traffic zone. After 300 metres turn Right and enter Piazza Duomo (Duomo Square, where the access is permitted only to get the luggage into and out of the car) and so continue on foot through Via Passafiume (on the Right side of the Duomo) as far as the civic n° 20 and turn Right entering Via Francavilla. Keep on walking as far as the civic n° 69 and then turn Left getting into Via Salita Delle Pecore, where at n° 16 you find the entrance door of the house.

From CATANIA km 180; Highway A19 Catania-Palermo. After 155 km enter the Highway A 20 Palermo-Messina in the direction of Messina-Cefalù. Exit Cefalù. At the crossroads, 100 metres after the exit, turn Right in the direction of Cefalù, then drive straight and after 4,5 km (at the crossroads – in correspondence to the AGIP clearance space) keep on straight entering a limited traffic zone.
