barone Celauro e che ospitò uomini illustri, sin dal 1700,
da Goethe, che fu suo ospite durante il celebre viaggio in
Italia, all’imperatore Francesco Giuseppe che durante la
sua visita ad Agrigento, presenziò alla festa data in suo
onore. Troverete un luogo ricco di fascino e storia, in cui
scoprirete le zagare del nostro giardino e tanta
tranquillità, nel cuore di una città, in cui tra
arte e tradizione, il tempo sembra essersi fermato. Villa Goethe,
nel centro storico di Agrigento è il punto di partenza
ideale per visitare le testimonianze storiche e i pregiatissimi
monumenti della nostra città. Inoltrandovi per i vicoli
incantati e le stradine tortuose dell’antica Kerkent,
scoprirete angoli e cornici di storia poco noti. Gusterete dolci
tipici nelle numerose pasticcerie, nei pressi della nostra
residenza e assaggerete ottimi menu, preparati secondo tradizione
dagli chef locali. Sarà nostra cura indicarvi i percorsi
archeologici più interessanti e siti naturalistici

We invite you to stay in what
once was Baron Celauro's residence which, since 1700, has played
host to many illustrious people, from GOETHE, who was the Baron's
guest during the famous journey he undertook in Italy, to emperor
FRANCESCO GIUSEPPE, who during a visit to Agrigento attended a
feast in is honour here. You will find a fascinating environment,
full of history, in which you will discover the orange scented
blossoms of our garden and an oasis of peace in the heart of a
town rich in art and tradition where time seems to have stopped.
Villa GOETHE, in the historical centre of Agrigento, is the ideal
starting point from which to visit the historical testimonies and
fine monuments of your town. While exploring the enchanting lanes
and winding streets of ancient KERKENT you will discover a little
known cornersand backdrops of history. You will be able to enjoy
traditional sweets and cakes made by the numerous confectioners
which surround our residence and the taste excellent menus
prepareted according to tradition by the local chefs. We shall be
pleased to offer you our help in identifying the most interesting
archaeological routers and indicating places of pristine nature.
